Red Light Therapy has many benefits to the human body. The evidence of these benefits is called photobiomodulation and it is pretty compelling. Numerous studies have proven that when a device combines the right wavelengths of light with the right amount of power a myriad of benefits occur within the human physiology.
WBVT is considered a passive exercise modality. The idea is that the rapid vibrations force the muscles of the body to contract in reaction, providing a form of exercise. During the Russian space program, doctors found that astronauts suffered from bone loss and fractures at a much younger age than normal. They began to use vibration therapy to help strengthen astronauts’ bone mass and muscles. Today, NASA continues to use vibration therapy to help prevent bone loss.
